Poem #22 (March 25, 2024)

Susceptibility

when a creature is broken

starts to love themselves

they forget the creatures

that loves their features

when a creature is overwhelmed

starts to be selfish for themselves

they ignore the creatures

that shares their bookshelves

for the creature underestimates

the importance of people

for they think of the present

not of the future

now the creature thinks

it can handle the lone

but the truth lies

beneath the broken phone

Notes

Now I was shook with my last verse. I fkn cooked good with that. My proudest verse yet hahahaha. Freestyle no care of any rules but again I was tempted with rhymes. I must get rid of the habit. I mean I might need an opinion. Is the rhyme making it better? Or is it creating a cliche vibe that destroys the flow? Idk. (Yes no poems for march 24 for it was Sunday, I decided not to make anything.)
