Haze
climbs a man of a ladder of no return
for he followed a walking daisy
in a field of the injured
for he wept and shouted "grace me!"
a coward looks behind but the brave runs back
runs the man to the road of hazy
the sweet trail of the daisy
his eyes sees the light of purity
yet the mind knows the truth
a sight of deceit shall show affinity
now the man halts and looked back
perhaps he is meant to be a yellow-belly
his thoughts racing but his body rests
the trail gone and the petals faded
the man is still, the time still ticks his sight lost in the dark shaded
he now walks amidst the darkness
will the man be with the daisy he'd waited?
Notes
I had to search again for what this style was. I forgot the style as I made this two days ago. Anyways, the style is the ballad style. That's right it's the ballad poem vibes. There is no clear rhyme schemes so it's basically a DIY rhyme scheme. I chose the ABCBDB rhyme scheme cause it sounded fun. I liked the result but unfortunately, it's not singable(?) As I've done my research a ballad must have a musical quality. I made this without thinking of that. Maybe I would retry and think of the music properties(maybe limited syllables? Repetition?) as I produce the poem. Still, I liked this poem hehe.
